The most common definition of Order Pegging is a relationship between two orders such that one has to be completed before the next one can begin (end-to-start).
In Taylor APS we have additional functionality not seen in some other systems, for instance you can setup order pegging so that it is start-to-end, end-to-end or start-to-start along with adding maximum delay so that one operation cannot be scheduled if max delay will be exceeded.
In Taylor APS, orders can also be pegged using percentages (e.g. one order cannot begin until another order is 30% complete) or by the number of pieces produced. And, using the newest version of Taylor APS, you can now specify lag time and/or transfer time on orders that are pegged, thus providing additional flexibility.
