Instead of using spreadsheets to schedule machines and customer orders, Decision One uses a logical scheduling engine, allowing manufacturers to view machine activity in their facility. Decision One is an inexpensive software tool intended for small to medium sized manufacturers in need of a graphical representation of their facility.
Decision One allows manufacturers to sequence operations for orders automatically and intuitively, using the familiar pull-down menu system and a logical model of their facility. It has automatic indicators to alert manufacturers when there is a scheduling conflict, and it is easy to see when production is running smoothly.

Just Released - Version 2.1! (See below for new features)
- Copy Routings: Allows you to copy an existing routing. It means you won't have to rebuild a routing each time you want to add a new product. Useful for made-to-order or engineered-to-order manufacturing. Primary Benefit: Reduced Modeling Time.
- Purge Completed Orders: This feature will delete all completed orders from the system based upon a cutoff date. Primary Benefit: Quick data clearing function to help keep the Gantt chart clear of unnecessary objects.
- Order Pegging: Allows you to combine orders that are dependent upon each other (e.g. building component parts as part of a final product). Primary Benefit: More Efficient Scheduling.
- Details on the Gantt: Information like order number, description, etc can now be displayed on the Gantt underneath the "task bars" so that you can easily see details. Primary Benefit: Easy to See Operation Details and the Flow of an Order.
- Lag and Transfer Time: Now you can run two operations concurrently or overlap operations (lag time) and/or enforce transfer time between 2 operations. Primary Benefit: More accurate modeling capability.
- Improved Production Updates: Allows you to do a "full" production update by clicking on ANY phase of an operation, instead of having to do each phase separately.
- Add customer orders and automatically generate production schedules based upon machine availability. With Decision One you can visualize machine down times.
- Generate a detailed dispatch list for the machine operators.
- Define routings by easily add or modify the steps in your manufacturing process.
- Drag-and-drop operations on the Gantt Chart to push an operation further into the future or to pull an operation back. See the impact on your orders immediately.
- Freeze and thaw operations by right mouse-clicking to keep them in place on the Gantt chart.
- Highlight orders simply right mouse-clicking on a scheduled operation being scheduled to isolate it from all other scheduled operations.
- Model your facility using Decision One's intuitive top-down methodology for modeling your facility. Start with a facility (Plant Area), add Workcenters and/or Departments to the Plant Area and then add Machines to either a Workcenter or a Department to create an accurate simulation of your facility.
- Create a Shop Floor Traveller by dragging and dropping an Order onto Internet Explorer and printing.
- Decision One can zoom (magnify) vertically AND horizontally. To zoom vertically, hold down the Alt key while using your mouse wheel. To zoom horizontally, hold down the Shift and Ctrl keys while using your mouse wheel. If you zoom in far enough, you will be able to see the red timeline moving in real-time.
