On January 1, 2022, the Optima Graphics brand will change to Taylor. It’s all about creating a more integrated, connected partner to fuel your growth — fully harnessing the power of Taylor for the very first time.
Focused subject matter expertise. Creative services. Marketing data and analytics. Advanced technology tools. We’re uniting these capabilities and facilities from coast to coast, reducing complexity to unlock your brand’s potential.
This change doesn’t affect much, but you’ll need to be aware of the following:
Our parent company, Taylor, has been part of Optima Graphics’ brand DNA for some time. By formally uniting with Taylor as Taylor Visual Impressions, we gain access to 78 production facilities, millions of square feet of warehouse space and more than 10,000 employees — all of whom are dedicated to building a bold and vibrant brand for you.
Q: What is happening?
A: As you know, Optima Graphics has been a Taylor company for some time. Beginning October 25, we added “A Taylor Company” underneath our logo. On January 1, 2022, Optima Graphics will go to market as Taylor.
Q: Why is it happening?
A: Sharing one brand unites the strength of our teams, capabilities and facilities across the country so we can meet your changing needs faster and with greater results.
Q: When will this change occur?
A: The change will go into effect on January, 1, 2022, but you’ll still see our current brands for a while in 2022 as we begin to phase them out on customer portals, our website and location signage.
Q: What changes do I need to make?
A: This brand change requires just two changes by January 1, 2022:
Q: How will this improve my experience?
A: This change will allow you to experience a more integrated, connected partner to power your brand and fuel your growth. Here’s how:
Think Big: One brand, united to help you scale. Taylor connects the capabilities of teams and facilities across the country. In a world that keeps changing, we're committed to partnering with you to find new ways to help you and your customers grow. That's why we're building a nationwide platform, designed to deliver even greater stability and strength.
Be Agile: Regional facilities ready to act near you. A hallmark of Taylor has always been entrepreneurship. Taylor integrates the unique strengths of each facility and deep knowledge of regional trends. With new ways of working and thinking, we can meet you and your needs faster — to create impressions that take your sales farther.
Going Beyond: Strategically aligned services to make you unstoppable. We heard you. You want more from us. Taylor is designed to deliver expertise in tradeshow and event experiences, creative services, marketing data and analytics and technology tools engineered to facilitate dynamic visual solutions. The secret power to our services is that they're integrated with our production platform — reducing complexity to expand your potential.
Q: Will my client support team or contact change?
A: No. In fact, this brand change will give us deeper roots into additional Taylor teams to support you as a unified service model.
Q: Does the brand change to “Taylor” mean you will start selling “direct” to my customers in the
tradeshow and event space?
A: No. This is simply a name change to unite us with capabilities and resources that will enable us to do more for you and your end customer. We will continue to operate as a wholesale printer and manufacturer within the tradeshow and event industry. Supporting you and your end customers will continue to be our top priority.
Sales channel integrity is not something we take lightly. In fact, this commitment to integrity has allowed us to successfully operate as a wholesale printer for more than 40 years without degradation to our reputation.
Q: Will my pricing be impacted with this change?
A: Your pricing is not impacted by this name change. As always, we will continue to monitor substrate price increases, labor costs and other critical impacts to our market as we do business with you.
Q: Will we need a new W-9?
A: Yes. A W-9 is available with our new legal name: Taylor Print and Visual Impressions, Inc. dba Taylor Visual Impressions.
You can download it here.
Q: Will your Employer Identification Number (EIN) change?
A: Good news! There’s no EIN change.
Q: Will it impact our current contracts?
A: There is no need to change the contract(s) we have with you. We can update the contract with our new name at the regularly scheduled renewal time.
Q: Do we need new sales tax exemption certificates?
A: No, we can continue to use the one you may have provided us.
