Q. Downtime is a major concern of ours. Can you help us with contingencies during these periods?
A. Our DowntimeDoc™ solution allows you to generate forms and labels with patient demographic information and barcodes while the EHR or network is down for both scheduled and unscheduled time. With this solution, patient data is still accessible and the information is automatically sent to the EHR when it’s operational. Taylor Healthcare's proprietary technology solution allows you to maintain normal operations without sacrificing efficiency or the quality of patient care – regardless of the status of your network or power supply.
Q. Can you tell us more about iMedConsent™ with Mobile Signature Capture?
A. We know that informed consent is a legal and ethical cornerstone of medical practice. By making it as easy as possible to complete and maintain informed consent documents, healthcare organizations can protect patients, providers and themselves. That's why we developed the iMedConsent™ solution – a library of easy-to-understand consent forms in a digital format for thousands of treatments in 37 clinical specialties. Trusted by more than 250 hospitals, it captures patient (or parent/guardian) and provider signatures via a tablet computer or digital signature pad. Signed documents may then be automatically stored to the EHR, patient portal and/or to the document management system, thus eliminating scanning and ensuring that critical documents are never lost or misplaced.
A key component of iMedConsent is Mobile Signature Capture. A proprietary Taylor Healthcare technology, Mobile Signature Capture allows allows patients to digitally sign and complete documents on their own smart devices immediately at the point of care in a HIPAA-compliant process based on geographic location. No apps or passwords are required, and there is no risk of cross-contamination from sharing hardware.
