Recycling by Taylor

Taylor’s opt-in recycling program for fabric and rigid graphics helps to keep obsolete materials out of landfills. Simply send the unwanted item to Taylor using a shipping label that we provide. We work with an independent third-party who can recycle the item and transform it into something else. Taylor can even provide data on your shipments that can be used for your ESG scorecard.

Recycled Fabrics

Taylor is one of the first U.S. companies to embrace recycled fabrics as its standard offering for signs, graphics and display products. Each square meter of rSERIES™ fabric removes up to 36 plastic water bottles from the waste stream. Best of all, it offers the same look as traditional fabric at the same price. The rSERIES can be used in SEG, banner stands, table throws, outdoor sail flags and more.

Recycled Acrylic

Taylor’s Recrylic® recycled acrylic sheeting — the world’s only line of certified recycled acrylic — helps to reduce carbon emissions by up to 90% across a wide range of fixtures, displays and signs. Recrylic looks like comparable non-recycled acrylic products at the same price point. It can then be recycled after use — allowing the cycle to continue.

Socially Responsible Practices

Sustainable Forestry

Twenty-three U.S. production facilities have obtained certifications with the Forest Stewardship Council® and/or Sustainable Forestry Initiative®. Through FSC® and SFI® chain of custody systems, we help customers demonstrate their commitment to responsible forest management and label their products with the FSC® or SFI® trademark.

Avoiding Endangered Hot Spots

Taylor carefully manages our fiber sourcing to avoid ancient and endangered forest regions, including North America’s boreal forest, coastal temperate rainforests and Indonesian rainforests.

Recycling

Through a focused effort, Taylor was able to recycle more than nearly 28,000 tons of waste materials in 2024 (paper, plastic, metals, electronics, etc.), representing approximately 75% of our total waste tonnage.

Waste Reduction

Taylor diverted more than 4,300 tons of non-recyclable waste in 2024, yielding a diversion-from-landfill rate of 87%. We have 10 “landfill free” locations and another 13 sites send a portion of their waste to waste-to-energy outlets.

Water Conservation and Reclamation

Our main products include label and paper converting, using minimal water. Effluents from Taylor facilities are sent to local municipal treatment plants for recycling, with all necessary permits in place.

Replacing Volatile Organic Compounds

Decades ago we stopped using petroleum-based inks in offset printing and adopted vegetable (soy) based inks instead. This transformation from alcohol/solvent-based to synthetic-based material is much safer for employees and the environment. We also purchase carbonless paper that uses vegetable-based carbonless capsules.
