Born and raised in North Mankato, Amanda shares how her childhood—filled with rollerblading, neighborhood adventures, and family vacations—shaped her love for connection and exploration.
As an only child, Amanda was inspired by her mother’s artistic spirit and her father’s hands-on ingenuity, from crafting cards to building campers from school buses. Her story takes a powerful turn when she became a mother during high school, finding strength and purpose in raising her son with unwavering support from her parents.
Amanda’s career at Label Works began with a walk to a nearby building and a leap of faith. Nearly 19 years later, she reflects on her growth from part-time pre-boxing to leading the finishing team with pride and precision. Her passion for slitting—once unexpected—became a source of joy and comfort, and her bond with mentor Kip Hartman helped her thrive in a workplace that feels like family.
Outside of work, Amanda finds peace in nature, whether kayaking, camping with loved ones, or relaxing in her hammock with a good book. Her favorite author? Ruth Ware. Her favorite travel companion?
